Illustrator, visual communicator and artist of the National School of cartoon and visual communication in Bogotá, Colombia, and of the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts in Cali, Colombia.

He has developed and participated in initiatives and exhibitions in unconventional places at regional and national level.

Currently he is part of the art collective "Circular Presents" with which he has made several exhibitions being one of its founding members.
His work is based on a series of visual metaphors from which infinite paths of sense of reality are open. In the search for a confrontation between man and his life, the artist creates beautiful analogies between the material of choice and human nature: the ruin of progress represented in the brittle chalk material, the absurdity of understanding the allegorical mining expeditions and its whole universe inside a flower pot, hardness and human frailty represented by the clay and plaster.

His work focuses on the appropriation of waste materials with which the artist reconstructs, with great sharpness of design and concept, the representative faces of society and the so-called high culture. Through the insertion of the chosen materials and impeccable workmanship, his works satirize about the content, about symbols and contradictions of the consumer society and thus restitute the aesthetic and denouncing value of the "poor" material.

DIEGO HERNÁNDEZ

new aesthetic constructions or situations that put in evidence power structures and prejudices subjacent to their speeches. The approach of the image as a mediator and publicitary resource is of the interest and encourages criticism of the artist around questions of power and the marked violence in different areas of modern and contemporary society, this  artistic proposal became committed to highlight some of the most compelling events in the history of Colombia in the twentieth century through a deep reflection on the social, political and artistic national archive.

WILLIAM NARVÁEZ

Buga, Colombia, 1989.

Master of arts of the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts in Cali, Colombia. He has participated in group and solo exhibitions at a national level.

First place winner in CALCO 2016 of young artists from the city of Cali and winner of a residence Scholarship from the embassy of Colombia and Argentina through the Tres Pinos Foundation, which he is currently attending.

In his work, which includes techniques such as drawing, painting, photography and installation, two main themes interpellate and try to constantly be redefined: nature and art. On the one hand portrays and evokes, through natural materials, the grandeur and power of nature from the recreation of an inhospitable, irrepressible, admirable landscape. On the other hand, conscientiousness and calculation, enrolled in the various art techniques that appropriate and transform the natural, making this natural element or quality fragile and creating geographies, and territorialities. Gathered in his work, these two dimensions establish a univocal and critical discourse regarding value and power relationships in the contemporary landscape.
